This sterling silver baby bowl, accompanied by its matching fork and spoon, was commissioned by Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Price in celebration of their grandson’s birth in 1953. The occasion is commemorated by an inscription on the reverse, engraved by silversmith Kenneth Begay.
H.C. Price was a pioneering force in the welding industry at the turn of the twentieth century and became one of the largest welding contractors in the United States. His office building in Bartlesville, Oklahoma—designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright—remains an architectural landmark, drawing visitors and design enthusiasts from around the world each year.
