Unique Creations
In 1951, the Hotel Westward Ho in Phoenix commissioned the White Hogan to create seven unique pure silver and turquoise light fixtures for its Concho Room restaurant, each measuring 24 inches tall, 19 inches wide, and 1¼ inches deep.
Due to the large scale of the light fixtures, each piece was a collaborative effort by Kenneth Begay and Allen Kee, with both artists placing their individual stamp marks on the back of the finished work.
The inaugural Silver Spur ashtray was crafted in 1948 by Kenneth Begay and gifted to John Bonnell on April 9 of that year, as noted in the inscription on its reverse.
The design was subsequently reproduced for sale through the White Hogan.
This exceptional one-of-a-kind ironwood and silver chess set was designed by Kenneth Begay. A cherished fixture of the White Hogan shop, it was enjoyed by multiple generations of the Bonnell family. Jon Bonnell was known for spirited matches with delivery drivers—some games unfolding over the course of months.
In early 1993, the White Hogan was commissioned by the Goldwater family to create a 13-inch silver plate featuring a map of the various tribes Barry Goldwater visited and documented throughout his travels. This distinguished piece was crafted by Edison Cummings.
In the late 1960s, Western Airlines commissioned the White Hogan to design and produce a collection of promotional pieces for the company. The collaboration included bolo ties, key chains, pendants, and pins. Western Airlines was later acquired by Delta Airlines, and the Western name was eventually retired.
